All Kids Bike, the national 501(c)(3) nonprofit teaching kindergarten students how to ride bikes in PE class, is activating their All Kids Bike Kindergarten PE Learn-to-Ride Program at William H. Perry Elementary School, thanks to a generous donation from  Coca-Cola Consolidated

Coca-Cola Consolidated, a steadfast advocate for community enrichment, has made a generous donation to bring the All Kids Bike Kindergarten PE Learn-to-Ride Program to life in five elementary schools: Marnel C. Moorman School, Rangeland Elementary, William H. Perry Elementary, Maupin Elementary and McFerran Preparatory Academy. This innovative program equips each school with teacher training and certification, complete curriculum with lesson plans, games and activities, a fleet of 24 Strider balance-to-pedal bikes, pedal conversion kits, fully adjustable student helmets, an instructor bike with pedal conversion kit and helmet, two rolling storage racks, and access to a resource portal with live support for the life of the program.

“At Coca-Cola Consolidated, we’re committed to uplifting the communities we serve and empowering the next generation to lead active, healthy lives,” said Morris Howard, Director of Community Relations, Coca-Cola Consolidated. “We’re proud to support the All Kids Bike program and help bring this opportunity to Louisville students. By providing access to hands-on, confidence-building skills like bike riding, we’re investing in experiences that will stay with these children long after they leave the classroom.”

Lisa Weyer, executive director of the Strider Education Foundation, expressed appreciation for the partnership with Coca-Cola Consolidated, emphasizing the transformative impact of early bike riding education. “Bike riding develops physical and mental well-being, instills confidence and fosters better classroom focus. We are deeply grateful to partner with Coca-Cola Consolidated to bring the All Kids Bike Learn-to-Ride Kindergarten PE Program to these schools and lay the foundation for a lifelong skill.”  The implementation of this program will positively impact thousands of kindergarten students each year by teaching them how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class.

At these five schools, this program will positively impact approximately 365  kindergarten students each year by teaching them how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class. With a lifespan of 7-10 years for the equipment, it is estimated that up to 3,650 students will benefit from this initiative over the next decade.

“We are deeply grateful to Coca-Cola Consolidated for bringing the All Kids Bike Program to our school,” stated Andrew Glover, Family Resource Coordinator at William H. Perry Elementary School. “This gift will spark excitement, empower our young learners, and support their physical, emotional, and academic growth. Our students are already buzzing with anticipation, and we can’t wait to see the impact this program will make.”

Coca-Cola Consolidated, with its commitment to fostering healthy and vibrant communities, continues to be a beacon of corporate responsibility. The collaboration between Coca-Cola Consolidated, All Kids Bike, and Louisville School District exemplifies the potential when public and private sectors unite for the betterment of society.
