Chris Gibbany
Moto-journalist | Bike Builder | Spectro Oils, partner | Biker Lives Matter Ambassador
Chris is a moto-journalist who loves all types of motorsports; from drag racing, riding enduros, hot-rodding her ’73 Dodge Challenger and ’69 AMX, to dirt-roading Baja bugs. Her main passion is riding and building vintage Harleys. Chris learned to ride a motorcycle before learning to drive and as a child collected Hot Wheels and mini motorcycles. She has been knee-deep in the car and motorcycle culture for the last 30 years. For the past five years she has hosted “Throwback Thursdays” free of charge at the local Drive-In for anyone driving a pre-1980 vehicle. She is also passionate about getting more people outside and less dependent upon their digital devices.
Chris is not only the editor of Renegade Magazine but she has been writing for them for over 8 years. She is a contributor to Arkansas Wild Magazine, Bikernet.com, and the Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys website, as well as other publications.
Chris has a unique perspective since she only rides vintage bikes; owning a pair of pre-war Knuckleheads and a 1956 Panhead. She is the Arkansas Representative for the Global Women Who Ride project, the official Ambassador for motorcycle tourism for the state of Arkansas, and the first Ambassador for “Biker Lives Matter”, a new safety organization that is trying to lower injury and deaths of motorcyclists who travel in the United States.
Chris’s goal is to educate, empower and inspire people to live their best life. She is currently building a 1937 Knucklehead “Redemption” to raise awareness of narcissistic abuse. She donates her time to many organizations in hopes to make the world a better place.
“My whole world has always revolved around hot rods and old vintage Harleys and I realize that these are the mission field in which I am able to reach people. I am blessed to have a husband who has the same interests as I do. I live to spread my passion to everyone, young and old, male or female. I want to let people know that if you have GOD in your life, you can accomplish anything! I live my life to the fullest, not just for myself, but also for others by constantly promoting people and products that I believe in.”
