All Kids Bike® is a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation to place Kindergarten PE Learn-To-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations.

Strider Sports International, Inc, is the South Dakota-based company behind the industry leading, Strider Balance Bike for toddlers and children. This position is located with the Strider World Headquarters in the department that supports All Kids Bike, the campaign lead by the nonprofit Strider Education Foundation. The Ambassador and Partnership Development role is a tremendously important part of the ongoing funding for schools to gain the Kindergarten PE Program. This person must be comfortable initiating phone conversations, email, social media conversations and be comfortable assisting a broad range of athletes and influencers in fundraising efforts.

A willingness to perform various additional functions and to provide support for the team and mission is critical. The ideal candidate must be capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

All interested applicants must:

  • Possess a knowledge of Strider products and the learn to ride process, and the All Kids Bike campaign
  • Have 2 or more years of experience in sales, relationship management, or PR
  • Be motivated and results driven

Functions and Qualifications

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Strider products, the learn to ride processes and the All Kids Bike campaign
  • Have a proven history of successful relationship management, ideally in a nonprofit environment
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Self-confident, self-directed, forward thinking and detail oriented
  • Be a willing learner with a flexible and adaptable attitude
  • Confident in making phone calls or contacting our committed ambassadors and helping them build their ambassador profile, post on social media about All Kids Bike, assist with their fundraising campaigns, and promote media events while visiting the schools
  • Ability to effectively communicate with our team, educators, prospects, media, and others with a positive and enthusiastic manner
  • Fielding all in bound emails and phone calls inquiring about our education programs
  • Working with brand ambassadors and organizations to successfully promote All Kids Bike
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask a variety of outgoing and incoming directives
  • Comfortable and efficient with computers and electronic communication including email and logging correspondence in CRM
  • Enthusiastically build relationships in a variety of channels such as motorcycle, bicycle, various athletes, educators and business leaders
  • Facilitate logistics of media opportunities for the ambassadors and the schools they fund

Location and Hours

  • This position is located in Rapid City, SD
  • Regular office hours are Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 8am to 12pm

Pay

  • Pay will range from 38,000 to 64,000 depending on experience
  • This is a full-time, non-exempt positions and qualifies for a full benefits package that includes paid time off, health insurance and an extensive list of perks.

All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching and relationship management experience with the ability to point to specific examples of having developed operational strategies that have taken an organization the next stage of growth.

The Executive Director position reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for working directly with the education and benevolence department.  Excellent planning skills, and an adaptable and entrepreneurial mindset are keys to success.   A background in business and operational leadership is a must. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Ability to engage in complex fiscal management through hands-on budgetary development and oversight
  • Foster a collaborative working environment, encourage professional development and champion accountability amongst employees, board members, partner organizations and funders
  • Provide a long-term vision and a framework for executing that vision
  • Drive development and fundraising collaboration
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure overall successful long-term operations
  • Assure the organization makes consistent and timely progress in achieving its mission and impact
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives and manage a budget.
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence and rigorous program evaluation
  • Daily tracking of all donated funds as well as exceptional record keeping of all donated Learn-To-Ride programs
  • Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress
  • Use external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities
  • Consult, collaborate, and brainstorm with departments and staff within Strider Sports Int’l to identify new opportunities for growth in a rapidly changing and competitive environment
  • Develop, or refine, effective and efficient processes for a fast growing nonprofit organization

Essential Qualifications:

  • Influential leader, coach, and competent business manager
  • Passion that is reflected in their desire to roll up their sleeves and do the difficult work when necessary
  • Being self-aware as a result of knowing their strengths and weaknesses and take responsibility for themselves and their team
  • A knowledge of Strider and the market we serve
  • Proven abilities and experience in fiscal management
  • Understand basic accounting functions
  • At least 3 years of prior executive experience as a successful leader of a nonprofit, or similar organization
  • Be able to prioritize and complete projects under tight deadlines and work with different departments
  • Have the ability to collaborate with several people internally and remotely on the same project
  • Must have exceptional computer skills and be comfortable working with various forms of technology
