Melissa Paris practically lived on her BMX bike with her big brothers growing up in Northern California. Once away at college, she learned to ride motorcycles and quickly got involved in the local road racing club. After a few years of club racing primarily on 125 and 250cc machinery, Melissa made her professional debut in 2009 Daytona aboard a Yamaha R6. That same year she became the first woman to qualify for a World Supersport event.
Since then, she’s had the opportunity to race in MotoAmerica, in the Spanish CEV championship, and most recently several 24 World Endurance events. Throughout her entire career, Melissa has relied on cycling to keep her fitness on point. Now that she and her husband Josh have a child, they are having a blast sharing their passion for two wheels with him!
Together Melissa and Josh are raising funds for All Kids Bike Kindergarten PE Programs in their hometown of Oceanside, Calif. Visit their fundraising page here.
