THE ALL KIDS BIKE HEALTH AND EDUCATION SYMPOSIUM

Imagine A Nation Where Every Child Is Taught In School – Along With Reading, Writing, And Arithmetic, How To Ride A Bike.

THE DETAILS

WHEN

The virtual All Kids Bike Health and Education Symposium is a series of video panels that can be viewed at your convenience. Additional panels will be added as they are recorded.

WHAT

This online series of forums feature experts in the fields of early childhood development, pediatric health, elementary education, special needs, and public policy.

Panelists and speakers present up-to-date research and discuss field evidence of the many benefits of childhood biking.

Research has demonstrated that bicycling can be transformative for school-age children. Getting outdoors and on a bike provides youngsters a great cardiovascular workout, builds their motor skills, strengthens their immune systems, sharpens their minds, boosts their self-confidence, and elevates their academic performance.

The Health and Education Symposium (HES) also details advances in the physical design of childhood bicycles — and the proven kindergarten curriculum used by the All Kids Bike movement – that allows almost all four to six-year-olds to master the fundamentals of two-wheel bicycling in school without ever requiring outmoded training wheels.

HES is designed to provide a solid, research-based foundation for implementing kindergarten-wide bicycling programs in their local schools and school districts. It offers an interdisciplinary context for all professionals concerned with the physical health, mental health, socialization, and academic success of primary school-age students.
