All Kids Bike Launches Online Donation Platform to Teach Every Child How to Ride a Bike
RAPID CITY, SD – November 25, 2019: All Kids Bike® is on a mission to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class. All Kids Bike, a national movement led by the Strider® Education Foundation, places Kindergarten PE Learn-to-Ride Programs into public schools for free, using donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations.
The Kindergarten PE Program equips schools with everything needed to get kids rolling including teacher training and certification, a structured 8-lesson curriculum, a fleet of 22 Strider® 14x Balance Bikes, 22 Pedal Conversion Kits, 22 fully adjustable helmets, and a five-year support plan.
First launched in March 2018, there are currently 137 Kindergarten PE Programs running in 27 states and the waitlist continues to expand with interest from schools across the nation.
Recognizing the need for increased fundraising opportunities, All Kids Bike launched a new fundraising website September 1. Several schools have already made progress toward their fundraising goal, and six schools spanning five states already solidified funding necessary to get their kindergartners rolling in just two months.
There are over 50 schools seeking funding to receive the Kindergarten PE Learn-to-Ride Program at their school that will be hosted on the fundraising platform.
“We want to lay the foundation for the future of the cycling and two-wheel community. By teaching every kid in America to ride a bike as part of their elementary school curriculum, we are laying the groundwork for a future of healthy, active and confident two-wheel enthusiasts.” Said All Kids Bike Marketing Manager, Susie Marcks.
